Runner’s Diet – Week of 7/17 Groceries

This is the week I started missing (eating) animals.

Is… is that a filet I spy?
  • Hella frozen peas
  • Salad greens
  • Ginger tea (a must!!)
  • Blueberries
  • Frozen fish filets
  • Califia coffee (a special treat)
  • Luna bars
  • Bananas

Meals for the week:

  • Breakfast: overnight oats (as usual!) with bananas and berries
  • Lunch: salad with fish and leftover tomatoes from the weekend
  • Mid-afternoon snack 1: popcorn
  • Mid-afternoon snack 2: Luna bar
  • Dinner: veggie patties from weeks ago + peas

Fitness update: After suffering a slew of minor injuries (including a pulled groin muscle and internal bruise in my right butt cheek), I haven’t been able to get a proper workout in. Less than two weeks to my next marathon and I am nowhere ready!

Life update: I have this weird thing where I need to be really sleepy in order to fall asleep, so if I’m not sleepy I just stay up and read or play games. This results in lower-quality sleep because I never reset my 6AM alarm. I’ve been needing the caffeine bad.
